Cajeput oil is derived from Cajeput tree. This tree is prevalent in the regions of South East Asia which includes Indonesia, Malaysia, Java and Vietnam etc. Some people also call it as a white bark tea tree, as many of its characteristics resemble that of white bark. The Cajeput oil is divided by the methods of steam distillation of the twigs and leaves of the tree.

It consists of terpiny acid and platonic acid and is very transparent and fluid in nature. The oil is warm has got an aromatic odor and consist of a taste which comes along with a cool feeling in the mouth. Cajeput oil can be easily dissolved in colorless oil and alcohol.
